Evaluation Criteria

The AI Playground at Mod Op is a fast-track process that allows teams to quickly explore and test AI applications within 48 hours, all while adhering to our responsible use framework. Each tool undergoes a rapid yet thorough risk assessment covering data privacy, security, legal considerations, and ethical factors. In alignment with our responsible use policies, we do not use AI tools for client-sensitive (non-public) data without explicit consent. During the evaluation period, participants log their use cases and track how the application impacts efficiency, creativity, and client outcomes. A key focus of the process is measuring value and ROI—ensuring that beyond time savings, we can identify tangible growth opportunities and measurable returns that justify broader adoption.

Once testing is complete, applications are scored based on their performance, compliance, and demonstrated ROI. Tools that drive significant value and adhere to our responsible use policies receive full approval for agency-wide use. Applications that show potential but require further oversight are marked as provisional, allowing for continued testing under defined guardrails. By connecting the evaluation process directly to measurable impact and scalability—while ensuring strict adherence to client data protections—we accelerate innovation responsibly, fostering growth without compromising security or trust.

Problem and Purpose Alignment

We evaluate whether the application effectively addresses a specific problem relevant to our internal needs and goals, and if the integration of AI/ML is justified and enhances the solution.

User Experience and Interface

We assess if the application is user-centered, with an intuitive and visually appealing interface, and performs its intended functions accurately and efficiently.

Performance and Reliability

We evaluate whether the application is scalable, reliable, and consistently delivers accurate, thematically appropriate results aligned with client and campaign needs.

Support and Maintenance

We assess whether the software provider ensures adequate technical support, timely responses, and a clear plan for ongoing maintenance and updates.

Data and Ethical Considerations

We ensure the application complies with ethical and legal data practices, excludes input data from training AI models, and adheres to data retention and deletion policies.

Legal and Regulatory Compliance

We verify that the application ensures full ownership of outputs, uses fair and inclusive training data and algorithms, and complies with relevant data protection and AI/ML regulations.
